JAGO - Longer Loot Bags
A 7 Days to Die mod by AMG5TAG. Version 1.0.0 for game version 3.4; installs on the server and client. Category: Gameplay.
Dropped loot bags and zombie loot bags stay in the world for 4 hours instead of 1, so you have time to collect them all after a horde.
Description
You clear a horde, the loot bags are scattered across the street, and before you've finished patching yourself up half of them have vanished. Longer Loot Bags fixes that with a single, focused change: dropped loot bags and zombie loot bags stay in the world four times longer than in vanilla.
It's tiny and has no dependencies. It touches nothing but despawn timers, so it fits alongside almost any other mod.
Features
- Dropped item bags (items thrown away or left behind) last 4 hours instead of 1.
- All 9 zombie loot bag types (regular, nurse, lab, utility, soldier, thug, strong, boss and plague) last 4 hours instead of 1.
- The player death backpack and the vehicle drop container keep their vanilla 1-hour timer.
Compatibility
- Conflicts only with other mods that set the same despawn timers, and whichever loads last wins.
- Loot bag types added by other mods are also covered if their names start with "EntityLootContainer".
- More bags lingering means slightly more entities in heavily fought areas.
- No text to translate.
Requirements
- XML only, no DLL, so it works with EasyAntiCheat on.
- No Gears settings and no other mods needed.
- Install on the server. Installing it on every player's game as well does no harm and keeps everyone's files matching.
- Unzip into your Mods folder and keep the folder name exactly as shipped (Z-AMG5TAG-JAGO-LongerLootBags). The Z- prefix sets its load order.
- Works on its own. Every JAGO mod is independent, so install as many or as few as you like.
Installation
Step 1: Install JAGO - Longer Loot Bags on the server (or your own game in single player). Installing it on players' games as well does no harm.
Step 2: Download the zip and unzip it into the game's Mods folder, so you end up with Mods/Z-AMG5TAG-JAGO-LongerLootBags/ModInfo.xml. For the game that is the Mods folder in the install folder (in Steam: right-click 7 Days to Die > Manage > Browse local files; create Mods if it isn't there). For a dedicated server it is the Mods folder next to the server executable.
Step 3: Keep the folder name Z-AMG5TAG-JAGO-LongerLootBags exactly as it is: the Z- prefix sets the load order. Don't put it inside another folder.
Step 4: XML only, no DLL: it works with EasyAntiCheat on.
Step 5: Start (or restart) the server and the game. To update, delete the old folder and unzip the new version the same way.
