JAGO - One Trader Per Biome

A 7 Days to Die mod by AMG5TAG. Version 1.0.0 for game version 3.4; installs on the server and client. Category: Environment.

Random Gen maps get exactly one trader per biome instead of several, so every trader becomes a destination. Affects newly generated worlds only.

Description

Random Gen maps normally scatter several copies of each trader across their biome, so a trader compound is rarely far away. One Trader Per Biome cuts that to exactly one trader per biome.

Each trader becomes a destination. Trips to Rekt, Jen, Bob, Hugh or Joel are planned journeys, and setting up near one is a real choice. It suits players who want traders to feel like scarce outposts rather than convenience stores on every corner. It is a small world-generation tweak with nothing else attached, and it only changes newly generated worlds, so your current saves are untouched.

Requirements

Installation

Step 1: Install JAGO - One Trader Per Biome on the machine that generates the world: the server, or your own game in single player.

Step 2: Download the zip and unzip it into the game's Mods folder, so you end up with Mods/Z-AMG5TAG-JAGO-OneTraderPerBiome/ModInfo.xml. For the game that is the Mods folder in the install folder (in Steam: right-click 7 Days to Die > Manage > Browse local files; create Mods if it isn't there). For a dedicated server it is the Mods folder next to the server executable.

Step 3: Keep the folder name Z-AMG5TAG-JAGO-OneTraderPerBiome exactly as it is: the Z- prefix sets the load order. Don't put it inside another folder.

Step 4: XML only, no DLL: it works with EasyAntiCheat on.

Step 5: Generate a new world after installing. Existing worlds and pre-made maps such as Navezgane are not changed.

Step 6: Start (or restart) the server and the game. To update, delete the old folder and unzip the new version the same way.
