JAGO - Rewards
A 7 Days to Die mod by AMG5TAG. Version 1.0.1 for game version 3.4; installs on the server and client. Category: Gameplay.
+15% kill XP at night and in biome storms, a rare Skill Point Ticket from loot and tier 5 quests, and party members sharing each other's crafting, harvesting and looting XP.
Description
JAGO - Rewards gives you more reasons to go out at night and keep going in bad weather. While it's dark, and while you're caught in a biome storm, kills give 15% more XP.
It also adds a rare, collectible reward: a sealed letter that grants a skill point the moment you read it. It turns up very rarely in treasure and armour-part loot, and as an occasional pick on tier 5 trader quests.
For groups, party members in range get a share of each other's crafting, harvesting and looting XP, so the player running the workbench or the farm isn't left behind. Server admins can tune the ticket and the shared XP in Gears.
Features
- Skill Point Ticket: a readable letter with a gold-tinted icon. Reading it (1 second) grants skill points straight away: 1 by default, or the Gears setting. Stacks to 10, can't be sold to traders.
- Where tickets come from: a 2% chance in treasure map, armour parts chest and top-tier treasure hunter loot, and a selectable reward on tier 5 fetch, clear, infested clear and fetch-and-clear quests. That reward slot is usually 500 to 1,000 Duke's Casino Tokens, with the ticket coming up on about 7% of turn-ins.
- Night Experience Boost: +15% kill XP while it is night. Added and removed automatically, shown with the XP icon, removed on death.
- Storm XP: +15% kill XP while you're in any biome storm (burnt forest, desert, snow or wasteland).
- Party Shared XP: when you earn crafting, harvesting or looting XP, every other party member within the server's party shared kill range gets 25% of it. You keep all of yours. It arrives at most once a second, uses the receiver's XP multiplier and XP boosts, and is never passed on again. Kill XP sharing is vanilla and unchanged.
- A new effect action, GiveSkillPoint, that other XML mods can use to grant skill points.
Settings
In Gears under World > JAGO - Rewards. Without Gears 3.1.0 or later the defaults are used.
- Skill Points Awarded: skill points per ticket. Default 1, range 1 to 10.
- Share Crafting/Harvest/Loot XP: Default On.
- Shared XP Percent: the share each other party member in range receives. Default 25, range 0 to 100 in steps of 5.
- The server's values apply. Changes take effect after a world or server restart.
Compatibility
- Adds to vanilla loot groups, tier 5 quests and the four storm buffs. Mods that rename or remove those will stop the matching additions from applying.
- The night bonus updates on the game's regular status check, so it switches on shortly after dusk rather than at the exact moment.
- The ticket's description is translated into German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Simplified Chinese. The buff and settings text has German and Spanish.
Requirements
- Contains a DLL, so EasyAntiCheat (EAC) must be off.
- Gears 3.1.0 or later is optional, for the settings above.
- Install on the server and every player's game, on the same version: the ticket uses the mod's code, and shared XP uses its own network message.
- Unzip into your Mods folder and keep the folder name ZZ-AMG5TAG-JAGO-Rewards exactly as it is: the ZZ- prefix sets the load order.
- Works on its own. Every JAGO mod is independent, so you can install just this one.
Installation
Step 1: Install JAGO - Rewards on the server and on every player's game, all on the same version. In single player, install it on your own game.
Step 2: Download the zip and unzip it into the game's Mods folder, so you end up with Mods/ZZ-AMG5TAG-JAGO-Rewards/ModInfo.xml. For the game that is the Mods folder in the install folder (in Steam: right-click 7 Days to Die > Manage > Browse local files; create Mods if it isn't there). For a dedicated server it is the Mods folder next to the server executable.
Step 3: Keep the folder name ZZ-AMG5TAG-JAGO-Rewards exactly as it is: the ZZ- prefix sets the load order. Don't put it inside another folder.
Step 4: This mod contains a DLL, so EasyAntiCheat must be off: start the game without EAC (untick EasyAntiCheat in the launcher), and on a dedicated server set EACEnabled to false in serverconfig.xml.
Step 5: Optional: install Gears (Mod Settings Manager) to change the settings in game. Without it the defaults are used.
Step 6: Start (or restart) the server and the game. To update, delete the old folder and unzip the new version the same way on the server and every player's game at the same time.
