JAGO - Just Another Game Overhaul
A 7 Days to Die mod by AMG5TAG. Version 1.0.1 for game version 3.4; installs on the server and client. Category: Overhauls.
Every JAGO mod in one download: 28 independent mods that together overhaul looting, crafting, farming, zombies, blood moons, progression, vehicles and multiplayer, for 7 Days to Die 3.3.
Description
JAGO - Just Another Game Overhaul is the whole JAGO collection in a single download. It keeps the vanilla game you know and adds to it everywhere: more to loot and harvest, a farming and crafting expansion, a guard dog, searchable zombie corpses and growing infestations, a different fight every blood moon, long-term challenges, player trading, smarter storage and a lot of quality of life.
Inside the zip are the 28 JAGO mods, each in its own folder and identical to its individual download. Nothing is merged, so every mod still works on its own: keep the ones you like and delete the folders you don't.
Survival and the world
- Air Drops: opening an air drop sets off an alarm and calls in a horde that gets tougher as your gamestage rises.
- Animals: adopt and train a guard dog, and watch out for vulture nests, Bird Flu and zombie animals in blood moon hordes.
- Blood Moons: every blood moon rolls a fresh variation of the horde, plus a craftable Blood Moon Starter.
- Zombies: search zombie corpses for loot, lure them with Corpse Bait, hide with Corpse Musk and clear growing POI infestations.
- Elements: Flame, Shock and Frost traps, elemental platings and ammo, and three late-game elemental wights.
- Mining: a Geologist perk, Power Hit to dig several blocks at once, and tunnel dwellers bursting out of the ore.
- One Trader Per Biome: Random Gen maps get exactly one trader per biome, so every trader is a destination.
- Longer Loot Bags: loot bags stay for 4 hours instead of 1, so you can collect them all after a horde.
Looting, crafting and building
- Loot: about 600 vanilla props become searchable, from sofas and PCs to cars, each with small, fitting loot.
- Harvesting: take a wrench to town clutter for fuel, parts, pipes, water and wheels.
- Crafting: a Research Bench for books and schematics, an Advanced Forge, a Rain Well, lockpicking and hundreds of props made craftable.
- Farming: Unknown Seeds, a Seed Germinator, Hydroponic Planters, one-press harvesting and a full Australian pantry.
- Tools and Weapons: two endgame Ultimate Tools, class-specific repair kits and mod slots that grow with quality.
- Mods: the Tesla Coil Mod for the Stun Baton, arcing to every zombie within 5 blocks.
- Power: a 6000 W Generator, a longer wire tool, self-extinguishing workstations, and a Wristwatch, Weather Radio and GPS.
- Push Pull: Push, Pull and Dump your loot into nearby storage, and craft, repair and refuel from your chests.
- Stacks: stack nearly everything to 65,000 (or your choice), with fixes for several vanilla bugs and a mod version check on join.
Progression
- Challenges: long-term Slayer, Mastery and Survivor's Life challenges after the Basics tutorial.
- Completionist: cleared POIs are remembered on your map with per-biome progress, plus exclusive quests and a web map.
- Player Stats: start with 200 Health and Stamina, grow them with three new perks, and level up to 500.
- Rewards: bonus XP at night and in storms, a rare Skill Point Ticket, and party-shared crafting, harvesting and looting XP.
- Traps: trap kills are credited to a nearby survivor and their XP is shared with the party.
- Supply Drop Radio: learn Air Support, build an Army Ham Radio and call in your own supply drops.
Multiplayer and quality of life
- Trade: safe face-to-face trading with a two-sided window, the server holding the items until both accept.
- Spawn: keep up to five beds and choose which one to respawn at, including your party members' beds.
- Vehicles: a Harvest Plow, cruise control, horn-opened gates, bigger storage and a five-rank drone expansion.
- Reusable Switches: POI switches and valves work every time, and lights can be switched and edited in survival.
- Silence: switch off exactly the sounds that bother you, from generators to alarms.
Each mod has its own page on 7daysmodding.com with its full features, settings and notes.
Updates and compatibility
- Individual mods are updated on their own pages first, and this download is rebuilt with them. To update one mod, replace just its folder.
- Players need exactly the same mods and versions as the server: JAGO - Stacks warns on join when they don't match.
- Already running some JAGO mods? Replace their folders with the ones in this download; they are the same mods.
- Read a mod's own page before removing it from a running save. JAGO - Animals and JAGO - Trade have notes about that.
- English text only.
Requirements
- Several mods contain a DLL, so EasyAntiCheat (EAC) must be off.
- Requires Gears (Mod Settings Manager): JAGO - Completionist, Stacks and Traps need it, and most of the others use it for their settings.
- Install on the server and every player's game, with the same files everywhere.
- Unzip into your Mods folder so each mod folder sits directly in Mods, and keep the folder names exactly as they are: the Z- and ZZ- prefixes set the load order.
- To leave a mod out, delete its folder on the server and every player's game. Every JAGO mod is independent.
Installation
Step 1: Install JAGO - Just Another Game Overhaul on the server and on every player's game, with the same files everywhere. In single player, install it on your own game.
Step 2: Download the zip and unzip everything into the game's Mods folder. Each mod gets its own folder directly in Mods (for example Mods/ZZ-AMG5TAG-JAGO-Trade/ModInfo.xml), plus JAGO-README.txt. For the game that is the Mods folder in the install folder (in Steam: right-click 7 Days to Die > Manage > Browse local files; create Mods if it isn't there). For a dedicated server it is the Mods folder next to the server executable.
Step 3: Keep every folder name exactly as it is: the Z- and ZZ- prefixes set the load order. Don't put them inside another folder.
Step 4: Several mods contain a DLL, so EasyAntiCheat must be off: start the game without EAC (untick EasyAntiCheat in the launcher), and on a dedicated server set EACEnabled to false in serverconfig.xml.
Step 5: Install Gears (Mod Settings Manager) as well, on the server and every player's game. JAGO - Completionist, Stacks and Traps need it; most of the others use it for their settings.
Step 6: Don't want one of the mods? Delete its folder on the server and every player's game. Every JAGO mod is independent. Check the mod's own page before removing it from a running save.
Step 7: Already running some JAGO mods? Replace their folders with the ones from this download: they are the same mods.
Step 8: Start (or restart) the server and the game. To update, replace the changed mod folders, or the whole set, on the server and every player's game at the same time.
