Desert Biome

The desert is the hot, arid biome in 7 Days to Die, marked by rolling sand dunes, sparse vegetation, and scorching daytime temperatures. It offers valuable resources but demands that survivors manage heat and hydration carefully.

Environment

Wide expanses of sand, cacti, dead shrubs, and the occasional oasis define the desert's look. Towns, gas stations, and other points of interest dot the landscape, often standing out clearly against the open terrain. The desert generally ranks as a step up in difficulty from the pine forest. Enemies can be somewhat tougher and more numerous, and the environmental heat adds constant pressure on top of the zombie threat. The open sightlines cut both ways, letting you spot danger early but also leaving little cover.
